Remembrance Day tournament - a tournament to remember!

Hey guys.

Well, last tournament of 2020 is in the books, and it was a close race! After shooting a record 70+ points on the front-9 (with a combined gross score of +2), the team of Ross/Gilbertson/Mallen/Guenette cooled their jets on the back-9 and let everyone in the field back in the running. Highlights were Mallen’s 9 pars in a row on the front-9, Guenette shooting a gross score of 34 on the front nine (from the skirts), and Guenette barely missing a hole-in-one on hole #7, but holding on for the KP prize.

It turned out to be a decent day weather-wise, with only a mild sprinkle half-way through the day. The last group in (Sutherland/Barkwell/Wootton/Righton) had to deal with some darkening skies, but they still managed to finish in a tie for 2nd place with the Schipizky/Stewart/Barnes/Low quartet.

Results from the individual gross/net competition is also shown here at the bottom of this post.

Vouchers for this tournament will be prepared in the next couple of weeks, and the prize money will be put toward next year’s Gold Trail, giving all the winners of this tournament a head-start to the leaderboard for 2021 (voucher prizes only - not honey-pot prizes).

Hope to see you all out to our virtual AGM which will be held in early December. Keep an eye open for the email invite, as it will be coming soon.

Best,

Christian Guenette and the rest of the Match Committee (Ty Gilbertson, Elgan Ross, Mike Mallen, Gord Kishkan & Jim Barkwell)
